According to a 2014 BBC article, sticking out your tongue can be considered as rude, but in Tibet, it's a way of greeting. It has been a tradition followed by the Tibetan people since the ninth century, when the region was ruled by Lang Drama, who was known for a black tongue, said the outlet.11 Apr 2023
I appreciate this view Christopher. Reflecting on children’s vulnerability, cultivating a mindful response adapted to children's’ open delicate mind and heart, is still a huge task of our species.
I personally almost can’t bear being around parents with children in a playground, family gatherings, overhearing the mean comments, abuse, neglect or stupidity in adults’ automatic communication towards children. And that not even what’s behind closed doors.
Would appreciate hearing more about the phenomenon of "Christopher Titmuss" from Christopher Titmuss' point of view. "Who is the Dalai Lama?" "Who is Christopher Titmuss?"
I ponder similar questions about my "self" as I navigate life and world. There seems to be a lot of pull and incentive to inflate our "selves" as much as possible, to increase our power, our money, our friends, our influence. Would love to hear Christopher's advice and experience on how he continues to navigate the "brand" or structure of "Christopher Titmuss."
plenty of words regarding a very controversial incident. exactly zero words devoted to any verbatim response from the Dalai Lama himself. Until I have access to a full and comprehensive response from the Dalai Lama, judgement will be reserved.
I am coming to this article some sixteen months since it was published. It is the most even-handed, insightful, and honest response I recall having read on the subject. Thank you, Christopher.
