What’s the point of becoming famous? We couldn’t even go to the shops without someone demanding a selfie of us with the person.
What’s the point of eating ultraprocessed food (junk food). We slowly and painfully dig our grave with a knife, fork and spoon.
What’s the point in telling ourself, we won’t do it again? After a while, we carry on just as we did before.
What’s the point in becoming super-rich? We won’t know if we have real friends or hangers on.
What’s the point in always wanting to be a winner? We make others losers. Other winners will make us losers.
What’s the point in gambling? We hand over our peace of a mind on a plate for the profiteers to spit on.
What’s the point of shouting and threatening our kids? We are a bully. We prepare them to become bullies or spend their lives living in fear.
What’s the point in believing in political leaders when their primary motive consists of self-preservation?
What’s the point believing in the daily onslaughts of advertising? The business world only wants our attention and our money.
Whats’ the point in believing in God if God never answers our prayers?
What’s the point in being an atheist? We end up depending upon the views of the changeable or fixed mindset of others, or our own changeable or fixed mindset.
What’s the point supporting wars to kill people? They will die anyway. And so will we.

Thanks for responses. Text questions the demands of the hardened ego and the nihilistic culture with a selection of common endless repetititions of unexamined oneliners. The text supports questioning, not surrender, nor disengagement, nor compassion for the fragile self.
