We sometimes forget the significance of a retreat. It starts with renunciation. We put all our major and minor roles aside to step into a realm of silence, meditations, teachings and 1-1s with the teacher.
Form has not changed that much in 2600 years. It has the potential to wake us up from sleep walking through daily life with an anxious mind, a mind that thinks too much or a mind lost in the trivial.
I hear regularly of people, sincere and thoughtful, who have benefitted from a retreat years ago. Gradually, they lost themselves in the preoccupations of mind and again thirst for elusive inner peace, steadfast focus and knowing a wise response to issues.
Are you one of those people?
Look through the flyer to get in touch with the Waldhaus - fine staff, fine food, beautiful outdoors and teachings/practices have backbone, if I may say.
Mind you, no part-timers.
Worthwhile for beginners and meditators with years of experience.
A single insight can wake up a life.
See you soon.
Love
Christopher
