Three Generations of our Family offer Wellbeing Weekend
Granddaughter, Daughter and Grandfather support the sessions

Three generations of the family contributed to a weekend of precious teachings and practices offered freely by workshop leaders in The Wise Lotus Centre in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, England.
D’nae, 16, my granddaughter, worked as the receptionist on Saturday and part of Sunday morning. Nshorna, my daughter, did the lion’s share of initiating, organising and promoting the project while I offered one of the sessions. She also taught a session.
I offered a session from Mindfulness to Wellbeing. I told my group that Nshorna’s session followed right after mine. I said I was the warm-up act for my daughter.
The Centre opened in May 2022.
A total of 194 people joined the classes held every hour between 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The sessions included Mindfulness, Guided Meditation, Yoga, Nutritional Therapy, Breathwork, Life Coaching, Pregnancy Relaxation, Connect/Flow Dance, Reiki, Sound Bath, Massage, Tai Chi and Drumming.
Some people joined a class to see if it had the potential to support their wellbeing. Others joined a session new to them. Others took the opportunity to attend a class with their teacher.
In her January newsletter, Nshorna wrote in her thank you to everybody:
“The expertise across the two days was astounding and made me so proud to be part of such a wonderful team… New friendships were formed, wellbeing was enhanced.”
