Questions on Attachment, Non-Attachment and Letting Go. Plus quirky Totnes humour
Responses on Zoom with SanghaLive. Monday 10 – 14 June 8 am CET.
SanghaLive has kindly invited me to offer the 60-minute sessions on Letting Go starting on Monday 10 June for five mornings. Letting go can serve as an essential theme in the deep exploration of the human experience.
Letting go requires reflection and deep understanding, otherwise letting go reveals a reactive state of mind to unresolved issues. The unresolved can haunt the mind in the name of letting go.

Authentic letting go releases, slowly or quickly, fresh energy, a wise moving on and, at the proper time, potential for receptivity to creative insights.
Ten Questions on Letting Go, Detachment and Non-Attachment. Plus quirky humour
The morning sessions with short talks/30-minute guided meditations and Q&A will respond briefly to the questions below.
1. What shows you are clinging, holding onto and unable or willing to change?
2. Attachment can reveal a healthy or unhealthy state of mind. How can you know the difference?
3. Is there a difference between connection and attachment?
4. Why make letting go so important when life lets go of us?
5. When is letting go healthy?
6. When is letting go an escape from reality?
7. What is the difference between non-attachment and detachment?
8. What is the problem with holding onto a view?
9. What is the problem with not holding onto a view?
10. Life is short. Our days are numbered. Is this a view or the truth?
PS. Quirky Totnes humour. A decade or so ago, I was invited to compere an evening show in nearby Newton Abbot (Devon, UK) to raise funds for a charity. Mat Harvey, a Totnes comedian and local treasure, offered 15 minutes of hilarity about life in Totnes. He said: “I like Buddhist practices, especially the teachings of letting go. I follow the noble eightfold path. I can let go of it any time it suits me.”
Perhaps there is insight in such humour too.
