We practice moving on from hard and reactive feelings to the past.
We develop a steadiness in the heart despite challenges which come to us and once came to us.

May my mother and father be free from suffering and pain
May my brothers, sisters and relatives be free from suffering and pain
May my children and grandchildren be free from suffering and pain
May all my family members live in peace and harmony
May my friends, colleagues and contacts care for each other
Let us appreciate life and give support to each other
Let our hearts stay open, receptive and clear about the needs of others
May we appreciate our connection with each other
May our kindness connect with the animal kingdom
Let us show kindness to the creatures on the ground, under the ground, in the plants, trees, in the air and in the water
May all creatures, domestic, wild and on farms live in safety and security
May our kindness connect with the natural world, including the night sky above, earth below and all that reveals between
May our loving kindness meditation expand and extend itself to the three kinds of people in the world, namely the friendly, the strangers and the unfriendly
Let us offer love and hospitality to people regardless of their nation, culture or history
May I abide with a warm heart, a clear mind with the capacity to offer kindness in any direction
May my daily activities revealed in body, speech and mind contribute to contentment, healing and insight
May I find the resources for the welfare of others.
