Mobile phone zombies occupy our streets. Their heads stare down into their device held with both hands or with the phone pressed to the ear.

The same contracted mindset shows itself on trains, the underground, airports, buses, transportation, restaurants and coffee shops. Any addiction converts people into zombies.

World Health Organization (WHO) classified cell phone radiation as a “possible human carcinogen” due to an increased risk of brain cancer from long-term and heavy use of cell phones.

The frequency of use from wake up to sleep of the mobile phone develops numbness, irritation, a short attention span and disconnection from the real world.

Acknowledge your addiction to your mobile phone
If unsure, count every minute of the day for a week that you use it
Make a list of the ways you can cutback in your use of the phone
REDUCE YOUR USE OF THE MOBILE PHONE DOWN TO MINUTES PER DAY
Endless use of the phone impact the brain cells with short and long-term consequences
Switch off the mobile phone to give attention to creative expression
Mobile phones, text messages, Facebook, Twitter offer a substitute reality.
Tell your contacts on your phone and social media of your decision to have a life
Enjoy an expansive sense of life around rather than contracted around the mobile phone
Remember there is no substitute for a face to face experience with physical proximity with another
Be bold. Be honest. Count minutes and hours per day in the front of any screen
Make a commitment to be in touch with the vibrancy of life
Develop each of the senses to experience the richness of life.
Experience colours, hear sounds, breathe in smells and taste healthy food
Experience the sensation of touch; people, animals, elements, things.
Be creative.
Stay awake
Life is short. Death is long.
