I find it ok to eat small amounts of meat. It is not possible to live without killing at least insects, and my ”space” restricts the space left for the wild. So - with responsibility for a good life for the animals, we could have small sized animal farms. There is also plenty of tasty vegetables just raw or short processed in our kitchens. Now, in late summer we can surely enjoy!
Thanks for the information - I think that because vegan and vegetarian diets are more restricted it can be easy to reach for the 'convenience' foods that are flooding the market for this demand on the vegan / veggie sector. It's good to remember that processed is still processed, even when we remove the meat. Personally I'm eeking out every inch of outdoor space I can find to grow my own fruit veg and also some small trees in my urban environment and agree that something like community farms are a must going forward, whether wholefoods, dairy, or other... Food we rear ourselves has no secrets to hide
Well, I love to cook, I am a vegetarian. Cooking can be at times a flow experience for me. I try lots of things and I enjoy variety. There is too much food packed in plastic, so this is to avoid but cannot be avoided at all times since personally I don't live close to a farmers market.
Dark chocolate is supposed to be very healthy but it is on the list?! I love baking cakes, they make happy, I make my family and friends happy with it. Sophisticated cakes, made with ojas.
There is no need to be dogmatic about food rather use common sense. Less sugar, less fat, less dairy products maybe. Everybody needs his own diet, one has to find out what works for her/ him. It is about taste, enjoyment, sensuality. It is about enjoying food with appreciation.
While mediating in the morning I get a lot of inspiration for my recipes.
Vegetables are good but we need more than that to reach homeostasis, equilibrium.
Certainly the goal is to have a fresh cooked meal every day. Caring, loving. But not everybody has time for that. Organic food is expensive. Just try the best but stay reasonable by all means.
Curious if there are issues with organic tofu? Good source of protein for vegetarians(Going on 50 years)
